Are You a Student on a Budget? Here Are Some of my Affordable Travel Essentials!
-------------------------------------------
With things like student loans, rent, groceries, books, and the countless other costs that seem to never end looming over your shoulder, it can feel overwhelming trying to plan a vacation. I understand, I've been there. One of the things that has helped me, however, is buying things not just for one vacation, but buying things that can last more and more vacations moving forward! For example, rather than buying travel size shampoo and conditioner, I will buy empty, travel sized containers that I can then fill up with my own supply of shampoo and conditior. This allowed me to not only save money for my upcoming vacation, but it also save money in the future!
I will give you a short, cut-to-the-chase list of everything BUDGET-FRIENDLY that I keep with me and/or use as I travel. These include essentials for both weekend excursions and flights/week long vacations.
1. My essential travel sized toiletries.
2. A carry on that can fit the same amount of clothes as a checked bag.
3. Headphones
4. A portable charger.
5. Important document folder
Although it is a short list, and these items feel like they wouldn't make that much of a difference, I promise you they will change the way you travel - not just now, but forever. This isn't me trying to sell you on some nonsense and promote overconsumption (because ew), it is only me really trying to save you a buck!! The only real expenses I worry about when it comes to travelling now, as a student, are the flight, the accomodation, and food.
Life will never get easier. Even after we all graduate and enter the workforce, finding time for yourself my not be as easy as it used to be.
It is vital, now more than ever, to ensure you are living life to the fullest and taking advantage of every second of freetiime you have.
Until next time!
With Love, Alena
