The Perfect AFFORDABLE and Travel-Friendly Makeup Routine for Everyday

This post is for all my people out there that love a good lightweight, longlasting makeup routine! I have always struggled with my makeup routine when it came to finding staples that I could wear and enjoy whenever and wherever. It was only this past January that I finally feel satisfied with my product routine, and I no longer have "bad makeup days" thank God. So, if you are looking for some good recommendations, I am here for you!

Starting with my base routine:

Foundation: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation has always been a staple for me. I struggle with an oily T-zone and overall combination skin, and this foundation is so kind to me. It is incredible, especially for the price!! I cannot recommend this product enough, and I'm sure you've heard it from plenty other people, too!

Concealer (Splurge / Affordable): Nars Creamy Concealer is the one, the only. I received this product for Christmas (would not have bought it otherwise) and oh. my. god. When I tell you it is the best concealer I have legitimately ever tried I am not lying. It is still February and I am getting very close to needing another one because I cannot stop using it. While it is on more of the price-y side, if you ever have the chance to try/buy, PLEASE do.

Otherwise, my affordable friend is the e.l.f. Camo Concealer. This concealer has gotten me through my acne-filled high school years, and I could not be more grateful. Again, we go back to my oily T-zone. This is not a dewy formula, and is rather more effective at matifying, which I appreciate. If you are looking for an affordable option, it's her!

Powder: As someone that does not bake or use loose powder, the e.l.f. Prime & Stay Finishing Powder is my best friend. It is so smoothing and is truly effective with regards to setting your makeup. It really is my go-to when it comes to long nights out or busy days of sight-seeing.

Blush: In contrast to my matte base routine, the ETUDE Dear Darling Water Tint in shade Cherry is essential. Not only is it useful to add some extra natural color to your cheeks, but it warms up the lips just as well! It gives such a sunburnt/blush look on my face, which I personally love. Additionally, it blends beautifully in the skin. With it being so perfectly travel-sized, it literally never leaves my purse. I could be feeling really dull some days, and a drop of the Water Tint on each cheek livens me up. It's crazy.

Bronzer: Unfortunately, I am not a contour girl, and instead I prefer to warm up my face with the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer! It's affordable and soooo blendable, and gives me a soft tan around my face which I adore. They have great shade options, too, so it should work well for lots of skin tones!

Everything else:

Eyebrows: The Ownest Eyebrow Styling Soap is so effective at keeping my brow hairs in place. I have struggled with defining a shape my whole life, especially as someone who did not like their natural shape growing up - but the soap truly helps me angle them how I want to.

In addtion, to add color I always, always utilize the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Tint! It keeps my eyebrows looking fuller while maintaining a natural look ontop of the soap brow. I've been using it for years now and will never stop.

Mascara: The L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara is my Holy. Grail. No mascara has ever lengthened my eyelashes like this mascara has. It truly is my favorite and I will never, ever cheat on her. It removes so well and has caused me minimal breakage. Overall, she's a 10/10.

Lips: The e.l.f. Glow Reviver Lip Oil is a game changer. I personally get it in shade Jam Session, but they're all so beautiful. It's so hydrating and leaves a nice tint on my lips after the oil is gone.

Overall, this makeup routine is minimal and super travel-friendly! It all can fit in a small purse, carry on, and takes no longer than 15 minutes to apply in its entirety. Follow me on my journey as I find out if anything is worthy of taking these staples from their thrones.

With Love, Alena
